Sarangkot Dhampus Hiking is one of the most popular and most classic hiking routes in Nepal which passes through country inhabited by a wide diversity of people. It offers spectacular mountain scenery and takes you to the north of Annapurna Mt. Machhapuchare (Fishtail) ranges. This region is heavily settled and farmed. Sarangkot is an ideal view point to view both a sunrise sunset within the majestic Himalayan range. You will have views of mountains including the magnificent Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish Tail), Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Manaslu in this trip. Sarankot village is perched on the North West of Pokhara with enchanting views of Pokhara Valley and the Phewa Lake. This is not only a remarkable hike, but one of the most popular hikes in Nepal.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive Kathmandu.

Day 02:Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 03:Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus transfer to Overnight hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04:We will enjoy our mouthwatering breakfast in front of Himalayas before commencing our trek to Sarangkot.

Day 05:Wake up early in the morning to view the sunrise over the Whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges including fishtail as well as other Soaring Mountain.

Day 06:We will climb to the ridge to get close-up view of Fishtail or Machhapuchhre Mountain.

Day 07:Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus and transport to Pilgrims Guest House.

Day 08:Transfer to airport for your departure!

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrive Kathmandu. Meet assist at the airport and transfer to the overnight Pilgrims Guest House.

Day 02Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.Sightseeing on this day includes Pashupatinath,Boudhanath,Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Pilgrims Guest House.

Day 04We will enjoy our mouthwatering breakfast in front of Himalayas before commencing our trek to Sarangkot. This hike is easy mostly passes over the ridges near Pokhara valley with never hiding views of Annapurna Himalayan ranges. The trek passes through small towns, rice paddies, beautiful hills and chanting birds. It is a short and easy walking gives us peace of mind. Sarangkot is a viewpoint where many people drive from Pokhara early in the morning for sunrise views over the Himalayas, Overnight hotel in Sarankot.

Day 05Wake up early in the morning to view the sunrise over the Whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges including fishtail as well as other Soaring Mountain. After having a breakfast, trek to Dhampus. We will lower down from Naudanda to Ghatte Khola and choose the escalating path to Dhampus which is a pretty little village of Gurung ethnics situated at the top of Dhampus hill, Overnight hotel in Dhampus.

Day 06We will climb to the ridge to get close-up view of Fishtail or Machhapuchhre Mountain. We will explore Dhampus village and get to know their unique culture and ways of living. The trail descends through the forest to Dhampus Phedi. We will catch the vehicle and take 2 to 3hrs of drive back to Pokhara where we will stay in Hotel in Lakeside Pokhara. Overnight hotel in Pokhara.
